The shaven forum seem quite sure that Matty has signed for them, if this is true I think we have lost a fantastic player and one that we should have broke the bank to re-sign, hope its just a rumour :(

Somebody on there said they had signed Ell Miller aswell.they tend to go into a feeding frenzy on their forum as every season draws to its end.didn't they signMatty last year, and the year before .they seem to work on the logic of if you say something often enough eventually it will happen.
Matty has been great for us and we certainly dont want to lose him,but let's not forget all those havenites who said they wouldn't want him back in a shaven shirt ,they would all be crawling up his Harris saying they always loved him .whatever Matty does will be the best decision for his family and himself Up the Town

Do you really think matty will have signed for anyone in the middle of a playoff series? Let's use a bit of common sense. I'm not saying he won't sign for them because anything is possible but I don't think any player would agree anything with another before such a huge game. Whoever gets him signed on will be getting a fantastic player, but if he choses haven then I'm sure we will go out and bring in an equally good player

No mate, to the haven fans who think he's already returned to them. I can't respond on there site because I'm banned, also to everyone who's panicking like mad, we had it last year, all our better players are going to be linked with other clubs until there announced as town players for next year.

I hope he signs for us he would be massive for us in the championship but if he doesn't then I'd thank him for his services and we will have to move on. I think if any player is to remain in west cumbria they would like to see each clubs plans for next season (signings etc) before committing. I woud imagine town and havens offer to be very similar.

From rumours coming out of the Rec there's no way haven can give assurances over what plans they have for next year, they don't even have a coach, the board is falling apart and certain players like to control who plays and when and where they should train. Personally if a player wanted to leave town for haven when both have offered the same or similar money options then they must be crazy.

Absolutely. At the level we play there can't be that much difference in money because there's not much about.. And with all the uncertainty and potential upheaval there anyone should think twice about commiting to them , especially when you'd already been there and we're rejoining a much worse side than last time !!! Come on Matty lad you know what makes sense.

Aye thats right hes off but to be honest I think he will struggle to get in their starting 17 on his performances for us this season...I was hoping to see performances like thacks from him...sadly that didnt happen just average...maybe his heart wasnt in it in C1 who knows ?

That league is just gonna get tougher n tougher . With the inflood of SL fringe players the standard is going to be high.
Everyone is strengthening , Hunslet are linked up with Leeds and are already signing and they were bottom !
Great though after what we've been watching , can't wait.

He came out to talk to his wife and he had his arm in a sling . Great try to ... But at least he can't sign for haven if he can't write....( mild humour to remedy the frustration there ! )

He just gives that direction and pace round the ruck , and he's always moving forward , not laterally. And he has the passing game young Karl doesn't. He keeps the game at high speed , and that's what we lacked second half. When he's not there its a bit side to side and rudderless. You can't overestimate his importance . He touches the ball more than anyone and they're mostly quality. Just hope he sticks around as you build a team round players like him.
