Aye so many players being released by SL teams at both end of the spectrum ... The elder ones and the youngsters squeezed out from the academy changes . Plenty about but getting them , especially up here , is another thing . Mix of both would be perfect .

They seem to be blaming Matty for all this whereas if "away the brow" is correct in what he says Matty, by keeping quiet, is helping someone at Haven to stay out of trouble. There has certainly been some sort of irregularities over their approach and "contract" otherwise the RFL would have upheld their claim to have legitimately signed him. We still haven't heard an answer as to who fed the media and for what purpose?
Keith Matty has informed the Town board who illegally approached him and when.
Town used this evidence and that is why Whitehaven were told to rip up Matty's illegal contract they had.
They falsified part of Matty's contract and sent it to the RFL after Matty informed Dave Woods he was staying at Town . Haven falsified the date because They wanted Town to pay a transfer fee.
Why do you think haven4ever has not replied to posts directed at him from you or me because the games up. The Whitehaven board have acted dishonestly and have put all the blame on Matty and made him out to be the villain using there contacts in the media. They have done this to deflect attention away from the corupt way they do buisness.
The crack is haven4ever is being supplied his duff information from a pub in the marker place in Whitehaven by a Haven BOD.

so if thats the case we can expect the rfl to charge haven .you seem to want to talk about everything apart from the fact matty signed a contract with haven through his own choice ,then changed his mind and that us why we had this sorry mess.Yes like or not towns star player who loves the club so much was willing to join haven and how ever much mud you sling at the club and some may be deserved there us no getting away from the players actions in all this. Why he changed his mind is up to him .

The point is he WAS going to join haven then decided against it. Why do you think that was? Anything to do with dave woods plans for next season perhaps?

At last haven4ever!!!! You finally come clean in the point to all you posts on this subject. Gutted as you are that matty is stopping at town you just want to have a dig at town fans that he's your star player but he wanted to join haven. Give it a rest and move on.so if thats the case we can expect the rfl to charge haven .you seem to want to talk about everything apart from the fact matty signed a contract with haven through his own choice ,then changed his mind and that us why we had this sorry mess.Yes like or not towns star player who loves the club so much was willing to join haven and how ever much mud you sling at the club and some may be deserved there us no getting away from the players actions in all this. Why he changed his mind is up to him .

Whitehaven were told if they did not rip up the illegal contract they would be charged.

Haven4ever, who knows that the RFL aren't considering charges? I know you have contacts and will only be saying what you are being told so why shouldn't Town fans think what they have been told by away the brow, who does appear to be close to the player? He has already said that if Matty signed anything it was only a part completed form and undated, yet that form found it's way to the RFL completed and dated on a date when he was out of the county. How did that happen? And again who ran to the media and for what purpose?
I remember when .............................

While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

so although according to you haven made an illegal approached to him ,falsified the date on his contract and altered parts of it the rfl will take no action very strange

Reverse that point and you have why haven't Haven, knowing what is being said about them, asked the RFL to continue with the enquiry to clear their name?

I really think this has been done to death now . Matty is a town player , all is settled . Haven fans just stew in silence . Both clubs just need to move on and prepare for a tough challenge ahead .

come off it keith so the rfl knowing all of this and doing nothing about it is the same as haven doing nothing about tittle tattle on an internet forum, world of difference .Ill say it again dont understand why haven pushed the matter just seemed a petty thing to do but i think even the most harden town fans have to accept the player is not blameless in all of this ,trying to dismiss nieve is well nieve, he is a town player and we move on.

Not on the Haven forum it isn't!!! Matty is to blame for everything apparently. I keep asking who put this in the public domain through Radio Cumbria and what was the purpose but it never seems to get answered. I suspect as do many others that it was given to the media via the Radio Cumbria RL correspondent for west Cumbria by someone at Haven to make it look like Town had made an illegal approach for the player. If I am wrong then I'm sure I will be getting told but I haven't up until now!!!!!!

H4E nobody is denying that Matty has signed something for Haven but it obviously can't be legally binding whatever it is, back of a fag packet springs to mind how they seem to operate lately! But whether it be for money or whatever he changed his mind and obviously knew he was in his rights to do so. We all thought he was signing for Haven and thanked him for his time with no nasty comments anywhere from Town fans. Matty never went to the press or the RFL that was all done by somebody else. But because the Haven bod made a complete botch of it Matty is now in league with Lucifer according to your fans. He is a part time player making as good a life for his family by working and playing rugby not some lowlife your all making him out to be. If he had signed a binding contract he would now be a Haven player, the fact that he isn't tells its own story.
The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but thats the way to bet!
