Yes I know they can and unlike the people on here mocking those who are wearing what they like: I don't have a problem with it.
The thing is I've got taste and style and wouldn't be seen dead in that stuff; a pair of well made made brogues, sturdy corduroys, cashmere sweater in winter: with chinos, deck shoes and a well pressed linen shirt in summer my attire of choice.
I these things matter don't you?
Absolutely not. They don't matter one iota.

to you perhapsAbsolutely not. They don't matter one iota.
but to those with taste it matters a lot.
clothing at the very least should be made of natural materials; wool, cotton, linen, cashmere, silk, apart from perhaps vibram or veldschoen soles for brogues.
I find the idea of man made fibres demeaning, and the notion of wearing sports equipment in the street bizarre. Why would grown ups want to do that? Not that I question their entitlement.

waxed cotton, wouldn't be seen dead in cycling gear, even I was inclined to climb onto a bicycle. No need for wellingtons outside of industry and agriculture. What about waterproof clothing, cycling gear, wellington boots etc.?

That's not taste,it's snobbery.
it would be if I thought it meant I was better than other people.

If you want snobbery though, then chdeck out the posts mockinhg the guys who wear full replica kit to games.
I couldn't give a frig about what people wear to games and certainly wouldn't judge people on what they wear.

Its not snobbery its comedy! Seriously, if you'd seen this guy in Headingley the other day you can't tell me you wouldn't have looked twice at him and thought 'deary me'? Not even a slight smirk or mildly surprised facial expression?

The full kit phenomenon is also present regularly at Dragons home games. Always looks a little sweaty.

Nailed on Wendall. It was a day or so before their first recent Wembley appearance, if memory serves.I can't be sure, befuddled as I am, but isn't there somewhere in the annals of this board a photograph of a warrington supporter in full kit?
Actually, it might have been a mate of his....so he said.
