to you perhaps
but to those with taste it matters a lot.
clothing at the very least should be made of natural materials; wool, cotton, linen, cashmere, silk, apart from perhaps vibram or veldschoen soles for brogues.
I find the idea of man made fibres demeaning, and the notion of wearing sports equipment in the street bizarre. Why would grown ups want to do that? Not that I question their entitlement.
Man made fibres? Like cotton, wool, leather?

It's not about wearing them to games, its wearing them in the street and day to day, and it's a bit of fun that's gone way over your head for some reason.mate I'm on a wind up.
If you want snobbery though, then chdeck out the posts mockinhg the guys who wear full replica kit to games.
I couldn't give a frig about what people wear to games and certainly wouldn't judge people on what they wear.

leather isn't a fibre but hides are natural
wool cotton and linen(flax) are natural fibres: it's the thread that's spun from them that is man made.

As in most things, context is all.
Watching a guy walk down the gang plank from the ferry in Tobermory in the drizzle in full leeds kit including blades was a truly once in a lifetime experience!

The last time I wore said suit was as a guest of another neighbour during a festival at a Sikh temple ... everyone else there was in jeans and trainers!!
I think another fashion faux pas may be looming.

Later today, I will be wearing a suit. I'll be going to a Hindu engagement party for my neighbour's daughter. 10am to 4.00 pm at XXXX Civic Hall.

How about wearing a Bradford and Bingley replica shirt

I think that Indian Hindu women are the best looking race on the planet, and very stylish. God knows how many thousands of pounds worth of sari was on display. I don't know why more western women don't wear a sari as an evening dress.

I'd agree with that too.I think that Indian Hindu women are the best looking race on the planet, and very stylish.
I was sent an amusing stand-up clip from India years ago, basically this bloke doing a joke saying Indian women are the most beautiful in the world, and Indian men are some of the ugliest trolls on the face of the planet!
