Thanks for the memories Ash and all the effort you showed in the Bulldogs shirt Good luck in your new career except against us of coarse. cant remember less than 100% from you in any game even when your form dipped. Wish some more players had shown the same pride in the shirt Yesterday at Sheffield.

He's not gone as he? Really don't want him to leave! I hope that if JK has plans for him in 2013 then he will stay a Bulldog!

The rumour before the Sheffield game was that he had already signed for the rams. He always gives 100% and is a quality player. Even if he goes to the rams he'll always be welcomed back at the mount

You can all calm down as I've had a text from an extremely good source that Ash has gone nowhere!

Same source that told a rams fan faal was staying at dewsbury ? ;) Seriously though, think he could well leave, but don't think it will be to us - assuming of course he doesn't just retire.

Been a good, loyal player and a solid custodian for us since joining in 2006. Was surprised when I heard the rumour about him joining Dewsbury, as it's well known that he still holds an amount of bitterness towards the club for the way he was supposedly treated during his first period there.
Wouldn't be altogether gutted if he left as I'd much rather see a player at loose-forward who had handling and kicking ability, but I can't doubt the effort he's shown in a Batley shirt and would applaud him wholeheartedly if he did choose to make a move.
What I'm looking for is someone who can contribute to what England has given to the world: culture, sophistication, genius. A little bit more than an 'ot dog, know what I mean?

I'd be sorry to see Ash go. Not the biggest, nor quickest player, not the greatest passer of the ball and not much of a kicking game- all things which you might expect from a loose forward- but fantastic workrate, commitment and effort. A never say die player who always gives 100%.Every team needs an Ash to do the hard work. If JK could work on his passing/kicking game he could be the stand out no 13 in the Championship. (After all he was selected by Rugby League World magazine in the championship dream team for 2011 if I'm not mistaken).

Ash has been top quality for us and we have been lucky to have him. Hope he stays for 2013 as these last few games hes looked back to his own self. Can anyone else remember that try he scored against Barrow at Mount a few year back when he broke from the back of the scrum and ran 80 yard up hill to score, pure class.

I remember it well, and bought the DVD from BISSA on the back of it.
The try came at an important time, as Barrow had started a mini comeback.

Whilst acknowledging his short-comings noted above, I'd love him to stay at Batley. He's been one of my favourite players.
