I need to cleanse the soul.
I feel as though I cannot lie to the board anymore.
I may be missing for a while anyway, so who gives a f***

On 27.07.12 I was stopped for drink/driving. I am guilty.

This is going to kill my career, as my registration is now going to be null & void.

I am 50 years old & I am looking at a custodial holding,

I wish you all well, but I am now going.

Please don't think bad of me or anything I have posted on here

Goodbye sweet friends

Edited to remove my name

You may have been foolish, you realise that and that is no bad thing.

I have enjoyed your contributions and hope you will be back sooner than you think.

All the best for your now uncertain future.

Sorry to hear.

You sure you want this thread linking to your name (thinking future job prospects when you start to rebuild)? Worth asking for a delete?

Wonder if he will apply for a job as Mr Bleep?

Good point, I never opened it to tell the truth, can't a mod remove the link?

Very sorry to hear this. Hope things work out and you get to keep your registration. Throw yourself on the committee's mercy and you must stand a chance.
Please keep using the board.

During the crazy period in my life (not long after coming out of the army) I racked up a little criminal record and for one of my sins (DR10 + no Insurance or MOT) I received 12 months bad and £130.00 fine in 1985.

I'd like to think the nature of your job will keep you out of jail.

You've messed up but have put your hand up. We all make mistakes, everyone. It might not end like you think so just try and ride it out. One day you'll look back and laugh. (this is true)

If I'm reading the link right it seems that your drink driving came during a period of a 15 month suspension from driving which followed a couple of years of driving round without insurance? Just as well you're not a Moslem in Bradford or else Wolford would explode.

Without wishing to sound like a woman's magazine agony aunt you need to do a fair bit more than talking about cleansing the soul, you need to actually do it. Throw yourself on the committee's mercy, 'fess up to everything, admit that it is your responsibility no matter what the external circumstances & show that you are taking steps to make sure it never happens again.

And then come back on here to moan about Swinton.
Cheer up, RL is actually rather good

no sympathy I'm afraid - reading the convictions you obviously don;t give a flying f*ck about the law and don;t learn your lesson. Just be very very grateful you didn't kill somebody while you were p*ssed (for the second time) and no doubt you did it plenty of times previous to that without being caught.

As I say - no sympathy
Now then, it's a race between Sandie....and Fairburn....and the little man is in........yeees he's in.

I, just like those Castleford supporters felt that the ball should have gone to David Plange but he put the bit betwen his teeth...and it was a try

Kevin Ward - best player I have ever seen

The real Mick Gledhill is what you see on here, a Bradford fan ........, but deep down knows that Bradford are just not good enough to challenge the likes of Leeds & St Helens.

Don't want to kick a man when he is down but I agree with kenny. The initial conviction was a big warning flag and should've been enough to get you to think about what you were doing. I understand that Bleep has a young child. For this reason I hope that if a custodial sentence is awarded then the disruption to her life is minimal.

Your correct with giving no sympathy but not knowing what his personal life was going through (I don't want to know) at the time I'll throw no stones but offer support, after my DR10 back in 1985 (I was guilty of being young and fearless with no personal problems) I decided that if I was ever going out in the car again it would be zero alchol which I've stuck too rigidly.

Bleep certainly isn't the only medical professional to need a drink now and again.

My advice would be for him to, if possible, get a trusted senior medical professional to speak on his behalf at the hearing.

Bleep knows he's got a problem and he's probably best volunteering to take a suspension from his supervisory medical / theatre role till he's sorted it out. By and large, the NHS won't want to lose his skills permanently and might be able to simultaneously offer him a period of admin-type responsibilities and a recovery programme.

Appaling. My daughter lives in Hastings and has used that hospital. I dread to think what might have hapened and bleep must pay the price for his appaling and criminal behaviour.

... need a drink now and again...

No one NEEDS a drink. Anyway..looks like he will get a custodial sentence for his latest of at least 2 transgressions...and what if he has been on duty with alcohol in his system? Get help by all means but dont put the public at risk.
