I use it for rugby league discussion when I'm not sure if I should put it on the forum but never sent an abusive one that I can remember.

This is a tricky one as on the one hand it's a mistake but on the other hand it's the same mistake my friend's brother made but unfortunately he had an accident and has only just got out of years of prison with a small child's and of course by far the worst part of it is the victims of the crash.

As a general point, and one some may consider semantics, but this behaviour isnt a 'mistake'

Mistakes are unintentional. Losing your keys is a mistake, forgetting the wife's birthday is a mistake, peeing on your shoes is a mistake; driving whilst over the limit isnt a mistake, its pre-meditated, its a crime

The same point applies to drugs cheats in sport such as "I made a mistake..." when having got caught for undertaking a lengthy programme of stimulants etc. No you didnt, it wasn't a mistake

I make no judgement on the OPs situation but on the terminology some use to try to tone down the seriousness of their actions

What about Alan Baxter the british skier who at the winter Olymics won then lost a bronze medal because He used a Vicks inhaler bought in the USA.

He had been unaware that the contents were different from those found in the UK

Let's be fair it's a consequence of disagreeing with someone who is a bit of a tool on the fev forum.

It's entirely possible Alan Baxter was unaware of the active ingredients of the product he ingested, I would suggest it is entirely impossible for a drunk driver or systematic drug cheat to be unaware of the active ingredient in the products they ingest.

No it's not an acceptable consequence at all.

The Fev forum is fairly reasonable place these days. It's certainly no worse than here. I thought the way you phrased you post was slightly unfair to the vast majority of users on there.

Edit. I sound a little argumentative in this post. I don't meant to. I just get a little miffed when people use the actions of the occasional Sid n Doris bonkers to knock the rest of the forum user. I've seen it happen a lot.

Alan Baxter made a mistake, his case wasnt premeditated, it was accidental, as proved by WADA

Dwain Chambers disnt make a mistake, neither do drunk drivers who think theyll get away with it cos it isnt far home

Driving to work this morning Dad mentioned someone was killed yesterday at the bottom of Windy Hill on the M62 after a drunk driver drove the wrong way up the motorway.

I went to court this morning, I have been to court before, but never when it has been so empty, only 6 cases to come before the Bench today, and 4 of those were video links from HMP Lewes.

I got a 52 month driving ban, 80 hours community service, and a 20 week sentence suspended for 12 months, & £85 costs.

Cue slagging off of the justice system...........

Thanks to everybody for their support (& prayers) at this difficult time for me us

Get your community hours sorted down at your local amateur rugby league club, I've taken a few lads on painting posts, cutting grass & even coaching.
