big step up from 20s to championship rugby hope he has the strengh in defence to hold his corner with the big boys havnt seen him play so cannot pass judgement i had another Danny (Jones) in mind who can also kick goals and is a good distrabutor of the ball but like i said if hes good enough then fine.

we've been crying out for a goal-kicker for what seems like forever so that can only be a positive step

everybody is untried at some stage, let's see how the lad goes, he's in myrtle & flame now so he'll get our full backing, welcome aboard!

Lee Brickwood was untried at this level and was one of our standout players last season, so proves these lads can make the step up! Good luck to the lad! "So we shall again"

I wish the lad all the luck in the world but scrum half is such a key position in RL and in a div where even the promoted teams have half backs such as Rooney, Cooke, Lupton and Campbell then hes gonna have to be some prospect.

I think Helliwell could play well next to Grimmer

-- both you and suzzy are correct Blackpool. It' up to our coaching team now to give some one to one coaching to these new players. Helliwell is one lad who would benefit from such coaching--
and of course we don't know what posistions the four from the Rhinos play.

Are Bush and Wilson classed as two of the four Leeds players?

Not really pal. Bush was a York player and Wilson wasn't at a club

21 players allready in place for 2013 and hopefully 4 top quality rhinos players to come must congratulate all concerned for their vision so early after the closed season Barry must be chomping at the bit to structure a team that will hopefully be pushing for top six next year if this doesnt wet the apetite in and around South Leeds i dont know what will.

Can we afford to run a reserve team?
Very happy about 2 of the Rhinos who will be coming.

If Leeds Rhinos can't then we certainly can't Frisky, Weve all on affording to run a first team.

Whilst there's no doubt we've done well getting 21 players signed up for next season before this one's properly finished, we should bear in mind that of the 21, 19 played for the clubs that finished in the bottom two this year; one had no club last year, and other one, from Wakefield academy, is untested at this level.

So, I think talk of a top half finish to be very premature at this stage. I realise having Grimmer back will as good as having a new player next year, but on the other hand there are another two from the 2012 squad I would still like to see sign up.

How the remainder of the squad will be made up, and the quality of the dual-reg players we get, is key to how we go in 2013.

Key element to sucsess is the fitness factor where players reach the levels Teams such as Featherstone demand. The lads must have the skills or they wouldnt be where they are but if as a gelled unit they are fit enough to go the full 80 minutes with the same work rate as their opposition as the likes of Featherstone Halifax and Leigh do then your in with a great chance of top six. For me Featherstone Fitness enabled them to compete and defeat Cas and give Wigan the fright of their lives.

played against Danny, good kicking game. Can't expect he'll be too near 1st team action next year though if we are looking to improve on this seasons finish in the league
