Barrie Mac!!

Seriously though, read his interview in the Chron and he said Oldham were "lukewarm" to him returning to Oldham so he went to Widnes.

I'd love to see that explained.
Ain't it funny how you think you're gonna be OK
Till you remember things are never gonna be the same again?
Ain't it crazy how you think you've got your whole life planned
Just to find that it was never ever in your hands?

Who put Mike Ford in the mix, there would be no chance of him applying with his record with Hamilton, and theres no way we could afford him anyway.

It makes no odds who the next coach is, Oldham are just a feeder club now, so any new talent
unearthed next year will be off come the end of the season.
Location. Shaw, t'uther side ert pennines.

Scott Naylor's not in the list, and yet both trade RL papers on Monday stated that he's the new coach. Whoever it is, isn't it about time we had an answer. But, then again, we're only the supporters and don't count.

Who but a small minority really care, there is no money for team building and because we will be playing in a tin pot league people will not turn up to watch so the new coach will have what he has got and hope to get cast offs.Missing out on promotion will cost the club dearly and to all those who say doom and gloom do the math.

Scott Naylor is an ex Salford and Bradford centre.

Hasn't he been involved with the Academy at Salford with Alan Hunte?

Very observant. Hollroyd was a bit overbearing and critical with the younger lads in particular with Dally who went into his shell when Hollroyd was here. AR say's he wasn't interviewed but who knows. Wonder if new coach will be unveiled at the presentation night?

Contrary to what you have put on here , Dally did not go into his shell , but Holroyd dictated to Dally that he would take over all the kicking duties. Further more, it's the opinion of most 1st team players that Holroyd's time at Oldham was nothing but a major disruption, and with hindsight, a bad move by the club. As for him not being interviewed, that's come from CH himself. Dally and Thommo want to stay with us, but Oldham have not put any offers on the table yet. Both have been offered deals from several clubs in both leagues.

He's a cheap alternative to a decent experienced coach. No serious credentials.

Sounds about right for a CH appointment but then what else can we afford after the debacle of this season. However let's remember the words of CH some months ago, was it something like "it won't be a disaster if we don't get promoted."

If that's the appointment then maybe he isn't bothered about promotion next season either.

COME ON OLDHAM!!!! COME ON OLDHAM!!!!!
