Great deal for the lad, i was actually very suprised he wasn't picked up by Super League before signing for Batley, if anyone saw him regularly in his amateur time it was obvious where he was going.

Just to clear this up, Alex has signed for Saints on a 3 year deal. He will be dual-registered for Batley next season as part of the deal. The story will be up on the website shortly - I believe a story is running in the Batley News this morning.
Very pleased for Alex - he's put his body on the line for us this season and is clearly a massive talent. Just hope his career progresses as it should do now.

Well done Alex. A SL and possibly International player in the making. Glad he has signed for a club that give young English talent a chance too.
Positive for us too in that we get him back next year on Dual Reg, and pick up what I imagine will be quite a hefty fee at this level.

Maybe we won't receive much of a fee for him as he is dual registered? Not sure if the details will be made public.
Again well done to Alex. Always runs in hard and is clearly a natural talent. Personally I'd live to see him do well in superleague and represent England. He is capable of having a very successful career in rugby league.
When he does finally leave batley for good I hope he will look back on his time with us and be proud of being part of our little club.

Hopefully he will get most of the season out of him undoubtedly though he is capable of getting into the saints squad so we definitely need a good prop or two signed before 2013 just in case.

Based on JK's ability to unearth the likes of Green, Walmsley and Wildie, I reckon we can be fairly hopeful that there'll be sufficient cover in the forwards by the time we start 2013. I can hardly wait for next season; I think it'll be a huge year for us.
