I thought he was the best prop we had for a spell during the season.

I think Ruairi has had a good season. Glad he's resigned.
Looks like we're gonna be spoilt for hookers especially if Mossop resigns !

I don't think we have seen the best from Ruairi yet...

McGoff has been great this season his performance away at Haven in the league match in July was outstanding. I couldnt understand him not getting a game for a few weeks during the latter end of the season ?

BARROW Raiders have signed on 10 players ahead of their return to the Championship next season.
Eight of the current squad and two new faces are the first recruits for the Craven Park club’s 2013 campaign.
Whitehaven duo Max Wiper and Matthew Haggerty are the men to make the move to Barrow – Barrow-born and based Wiper joining a strong contingent of Furness players in the ranks.
Current players Mike Backhouse, Jamie Butler, Liam Campbell, James Dandy, Lee Haney, Chris Larkin, Aaron Low and Ruairi McGoff have also signed on the dotted line after helping coach Darren Holt’s side to promotion this term.
A statement from the club said: “Barrow Raiders are delighted to announce they have re-signed eight of the 2012 squad and added two new players to their numbers.
“This is the result of many hours of negotiations by head coach Darren Holt and directors of rugby Andy Gaffney and Geoff Worrall.
“Andy Gaffney is delighted these 10 players have signed on the dotted line and reports negotiations are ongoing with the remaining members of the 2012 squad, plus other out-of-town players.
“He is hopeful further signings will be announced in the coming week.”

I'm not sure what wiper and haggerty offer you except cover. Not exactly players to ensure championship survival. What's crack with Ballard, reading on twitter he dosent seem to keen on trekking to Cumbria again?

Don't see why we should, there is only 2 clubs which had considerably higher crowds than us last year. Fair enough they'll sign better lancashire and yorkshire players but I don't see why we can't retain our better local players. I'm not sure wether we will spend the full cap like other sides next year.
It would be nice to know our intentions for next year e.g our aims how much we're spending on the team or other parts of the club ect. Obviously we still need to finish this season though.
