I know I keep going on about gates but I think the gate at Wigan last night was only about 7,500. RFL must be worried by this and the empty spaces in the stands looked very bad. The commentators didn't refer to it and I wouldn't expect that they would as they work for SKY.

Wigans average home gate is about 16,000 and there lowest was 12,600 for the Broncos game. Even the league game against Catalans attracted 14,400.

Having said that I thought it was a very poor game and maybe the supporters knew it would be.

It will be interesting to see what the other 3 gates this weekend are.

The RFL were charging season ticket holders £23 for their own seat so it is no wonder people stayed away.

Dire's gate V's Stains wasn't much better and they had 3000 travelling St's fans to count.

Anyway lets not talk about the gates. Lets talk about how Dire choked again LMAO :)

It didn't look as bad on the telly at Warrington,Gary,as a whole end of the stadium with nobody in it at Wigan.

I hate to see Rugby Yawnion grounds filled to the rafters compared with Rugby League.

Michael,

Wigan close the 'away' end for a number of poorly supported away teams to cut stewarding costs. Catalan & London are 2 that spring to mind.

I think the club call semi finals will be packed out as will the G/F.

Warrington attendance was 10,190 with approx 3000 of that Stains fans. Wigan would have had a far bigger crowd if they had been playing Stains. Catalan had about 3 supporters at the game.
