Celebrations have continued in Kingston, Jamaica after Vauxhall Vultures won a record fifth title in six appearances last weekend, defeating local rivals Duhaney Red Sharks 30-16.
Tiege Jackson, Sandino Hastings, Robert Johnson, Everton Richards, Kemar Grey and Andrew Fong scored their tries, Grey kicking four goals.
JRLA Director of Rugby, Romeo Monteith had high praise for both teams and the overall standard of the 2012 National Competition, “There was a lot of talent on display throughout our Championship, and these two teams were deserving finalists,” he said.
“Rugby League continues to draw massive fan and community interest and we are pleased with our progress. This is, and will continue to be, reflected in our national side.”
