All that's officially confirmed is 14 teams premier and division 1. Size of division 2 and if there's a division 3 is TBC.I would have thought that the NCL committee would look at other aplications if it strenghthens the NCL league competition.
The leagues are well off been organised for next year.
If you take note what Marauder thinks there will be that many teams leaving they wont have enough teams to have 4 divisions.
Proof the RFL now run and control the NCL

Yes thats the point I'm making, you have 18 clubs applying for the NCL, 9 get admitted and then either the NCL Committee or the RFL ask Blackbrook to join who where not one of the `18. Is that being transparent, Has the correct protocol been used has democracy gone to be taken over by a puppet goverment.I hope this is right, but I have a feeling this is so far off the mark it is untrue. It would make a mockery of the applications process in my opinion!

The RFL have no say. The NCL would benefit from more clubs and Blackbrook are facing the unexpected prospect of a weak league. As long as clubs get a vote that's fine. Cottingham Tigers got let in after the original vote to replace Barrow Island IIRC so happened as a winter BARLA league.

I didn't say every club would be leaving tomorrow (thats one of the reasons BARLA have held off with their conference), I did say it will take 3 to 5 years to sort itself out, it's obvious that a lot of teams are struggling for players/supporters/committee and coin since the switch to summer, if this can not be sorted what is the alternative?I would have thought that the NCL committee would look at other aplications if it strenghthens the NCL league competition.

Maybe a well run BARLA Conference and the timing of it's launch will be very important.

Why?
BARLA couldnt run a bath IMO
Similarly the RFL couldnt run juniors or the amateur game unless they give total control to the respecvtive leagues such as the NCL

May I ask what is wrong with the Pennine league, Hull League or all the others connected to BARLA? Or do you mean a constitution got in the way of you being a dictator but under the RFL and stealth you can.......................................nothing against Blackbrook but they never applied, you've had your vote and then asked a 10th club to join <--- thats not democratic is it...Again nothing against Blackbrook just pointing out how major decisions are being made.BARLA couldnt run a bath IMO

Who said that the NCL have asked Blackbrook to apply. The NCL chairman actually said at the meeting on Monday Night that more clubs may make late applications to join the NCL ( guess Blackbrook are one of those clubs ) I think you will find that they maybe a few more before the season starts again in March. So What you are actually saying Marauder is that clubs can join Lets say the Pennine League jump ship by leaving the Yorkshire League Not Voted in by the other member clubs but only on the say so of the Peninne Management and thats ok for them but not the NCL, AND YOU SAY THE NCL MANAGEMENT ARE DICTATORS. By the way that will not happen in the NCL any applications will be treated the same has the original 18 that applied earlier if recommended by the management the clubs will then have a postal vote to accept them or not . IN YOUR OWN WORDS MARAUDER DOUBLE STANDARDS COME TO MIND. Think you need to sort your own backyard out first before you try to tell us how we should run ours.May I ask what is wrong with the Pennine league, Hull League or all the others connected to BARLA? I understand Marauder's negativity towards the RFL, but why does it always manifest itself in slights against the NCL. In the NCL other than changing to Summer, nothing has changed. It is the same people and clubs running it in the same democratic way. Marauder's obsession is developing into something unhealthy and much of the time is bordering on libelous towards the people that run the NCL very well.

With so many clubs stepping up from tier 4 to tier 3 in the NW I wouldn't be surprised if a couple more start looking rather than staying in a weakened league. Also Bank Quay may want to address that ground so they only have to spend one season hammering all in sight.
Of course looking at lots of good NW clubs joining and the fact that a couple of the Yorkshire clubs who tend to make up the bulk of division 2 are struggling raises a heretical thought in my mind that a split into division 2 and 3 may not be the best way to organise these clubs...

Think your being harsh on what standard will be left in the NWCL there Bowes, teams like Simmies, Clock Face, Ashton, Walney, Shevington etc dont think BQB would have it all there own way! You do have have to wonder how weak some of the regional leagues are going to end up though
Your idea to regionalise the lower conference divisions is a good one though!

Fair though I wouldn't be surprised if the likes of Walney Central or (not having seen their facilities) Ashton Bears looked to a division 2 west if one happened or the Lancashire heavy division 3 we're currently looking at.Think your being harsh on what standard will be left in the NWCL there Bowes, teams like Simmies, Clock Face, Ashton, Walney, Shevington etc dont think BQB would have it all there own way! Actually just realised Bank Quay were the only premier division team to get an off season hence only Pilkington Recs and Blackbrook being a threat this year. HSC and CFM should be stronger next year?
If Blackbrook and Woolston Wizards go NCL and noone else (not a given IMO as other clubs meet criteria) we'd be looking at a premier roughly of:
Bank Quay
Clock Face Miners
Ashton Bears
Halton Simms Cross
Walney Central
Shevington Sharks
Haydock Warriors
Plus 3 out of:
Widnes St Maries Vikings
Roose Pioneers
Leigh East A
Thatto Heath Crusaders A
Halton Farnworth Hornets
Looks much weaker though viable.

We played at Walney a couple of seasons ago in the BARLA cumbria cup and there club house had closed and they were playing out of a cricket club and struggling a little, and I dont think Ashton meet the criteria but they are definately a club on the up with the right ethos for the NCL
Results wise Clock face have beat BQB and Ashton got within 2 point this year aswell, BQB have lost some players and I dont think they are anywhere near as good on the firmer grounds
