I suppose Halton Simms Cross dominated the NWCL for a long time but couldn't sustain it so being only strong on the field won't last forever.

BARLA couldnt run a bath IMO
Similarly the RFL couldnt run juniors or the amateur game unless they give total control to the respecvtive leagues such as the NCL

I really do love all this talk of may, why not just say should have said we've asked Blackbrook to join - Transparency - Or are the committee scared to openly say that they a choosing one of the new clubs because then it's clear that the NCL have stopped being a full democracy? I see it either the committee/RFL want to clearly dictate or it's becoming clear you've started to dictate by stealth.Who said that the NCL have asked Blackbrook to apply. The NCL chairman actually said at the meeting on Monday Night that more clubs may make late applications to join the NCL ( guess Blackbrook are one of those clubs ) I think you will find that they maybe a few more before the season starts again in March. So What you are actually saying Marauder is that clubs can join Lets say the Pennine League jump ship by leaving the Yorkshire League Not Voted in by the other member clubs but only on the say so of the Peninne Management and thats ok for them but not the NCL, AND YOU SAY THE NCL MANAGEMENT ARE DICTATORS. By the way that will not happen in the NCL any applications will be treated the same has the original 18 that applied earlier if recommended by the management the clubs will then have a postal vote to accept them or not . IN YOUR OWN WORDS MARAUDER DOUBLE STANDARDS COME TO MIND. Think you need to sort your own backyard out first before you try to tell us how we should run ours.

The NCL are accepting late applications in general and clubs will get a vote. Applying rules when they are harmful to everyone involved is not in anyone's interest and Blackbrook would make a very good addition to a league with at least 6 spaces left. I hasten to add that the deadline was earlier in the season than usual specifically to allow planning so an additional application period to deal with the fall out of this year's unique situation is not unreasonable. Look at how many seasons there were of 2-3 clubs folding in Yorkshire League premier division every season because rules were being stuck to over rigidly. Of course we can now see why BARLA was worried as the vast majority of their open age clubs play in one powerful league. But it is in the clubs' interest to have closer games.I really do love all this talk of may, why not just say should have said we've asked Blackbrook to join - Transparency - Or are the committee scared to openly say that they a choosing one of the new clubs because then it's clear that the NCL have stopped being a full democracy? Do the Pennine have a strict criteria like the NCL "no" and which teams where folding in the Yorkshire premier ever year? I think you will find Drig, Queens, Old Boys, Queens, Stanningley, Hunslet Warriors, Stanley, East Hull, Myton, Upton, Dewsbury Celtic and a few other simply changed the leagues they played in along with a lot more. The NCL are accepting late applications in general and clubs will get a vote. Ryhill Hammers submitted a late application to join the Pennine League due to the demise of the Yorkshire League. Should they have been left to fold instead? By your logic they should.
