Secondly big thanks to everyone who worked tirelessly to get the game on at all. Superb effort.
Third what a fantastic effort and performance from every last one of them.
Apart from all the obvious ones I'd like to mention Mark Calderwood who was excellent in everything he did. Gotta eat humble pie about Forber and bow to Wonkies better judgment as he was faultless today. Lastly Brett Carter deserves a mention as he will be aching tomorrow with the defence he put in. Always superb wherever he plays but when he dropped back into full back he just seems to take it up a notch.
As a team we defended like a side possessed and to deny them a single try was outstanding.
Roll on next week, as if we play like that we can beat any team.
Up the Town!

yep your right David..........and its wonderfulWe seemed to want it so much more today , even before Eliots injury . We really hit our straps again , especially defensively . How many times did we force the ball carrier back yards and yards ? It's Rooney or nothing for them , and they looked pretty ponderous and increasingly clueless. I thought Sam Gee had a useful game , but overall they were physically dominated and battered ( again ) .

At Doncaster today they were crowing that they are Champions.
Top of the league their having a laugh!
You can beat them and make it a great Cumbrian day out at the Halliwell Jones.
Go Town
See you in Warrington!

First thing first is that Elliot miller is fine. Really worried for the guy and hope he's ok. This is the most important thing about today and whatever the problem was and is let's hope the lad a speedy recovery.
As for the game, town totally dominated and controlled the game, totally agree with the man of the match as Karl olstrum was absolutely brilliant. I can't pick a negative out because there wasn't one. Although can we have an inquest who that was wearing number 5 for town. Surely it wasn't calders, he was absolutely outstanding and his centre partner Morris was equally as good. Loved to see 2 ex have players score and they both loved it. .... Brett carterwas brilliant at 6 and at full back and thought Carl forber was the best half back on the pitch by s country mile. 1-17 were simply far superior and congratulations to each and every one of them.
Agree with all that. Olstrum was absolutely immense, his defence first half was possessed, he totally dominated the ruck area and just made yard after yard. Forber definitely getting some confidence now and not afraid to attack the line ending with nice assist for last try... and as for his goal kicking, superb. Good to see Calderwood have a flawless game.
Great news that Elliots OK, worrying moments.
Wasn't expecting a great game with the conditions but how wrong could I be. Guess its my turn to make that effort now and get myself to Donny to cheer them on as they really deserve a good following to hopefully help see them through to Warrington.
Oh yes and I'm sure Stacky grounded that ball ?

Barrow will be chuffed at getting to the final but will be missing out on a big pay day next Sunday (as will Town) there would have been over 2000 there. I was quite looking forward to another trip to barrow

Maybe even a cider or three!Poor crowd again yesterday, over 700 less than when we played them in the league. Even more suprising was the crowd of just over 700 at Doncaster for a semi-final between the top two in the division
