Holty will be pleased that the team have a week off to recuperate. Whilst I was delighted yesterday it now occurs to me that I will miss out on a last day out in sunny Barrow this year.
The Directors will also be counting the cost of a lost lucrative pay day against Worky.
I am confident that on a neutral ground that £20,000 prize is as good as in the bank. That would offset some of the loss.

Even if we lose the final we still get £10k.
I think with the week off we will be favourites to win though !!!!

Financially it seems wrong that unless we now go on to win the final we will have made less money than the teams that finished 3rd and 4th, but its the RFL what else would we expect

Good win for the team yesterday and I am sure that the extra weeks rest and a neutral ground will see us collecting the £20k for the win at Warrington.

£10k for losing the final, I haven't seen that mentioned before. Where have you seen that Baaarrow?

It was mentioned during the report on RC this morning. I'm sure it was either Holty or John Gibson

Thanks to Holty from all his old friends at Worky for his inspiring comments in the RL Express saying he has a feeling that Barrow and Donny will meet again at Warrington. We will pin that on the wall of the dressing room at Donny, ha ha.
I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

We had the week off last year and looked way off early in the final . It's not a given advantage.

According to Rugby Leaguer, Penno, penalties were 13 against Donny and 8 against Raiders. At least I think I've got it right way round.

ref was ######. should have gone to spec savers for the disallowed tries and should book an appointment at furness general to have his ears tested. 800 fans and 2 linesmen hear hooter apart from him. what a joke. lol
