Andrew Beattie and JJP both no further action. I think that was for the incident that led to Elliott's injury

You'd have thought so considering there's only a maximum of 2 games left this season!

It couldn't have been anything else as it was a pure accident.
I remember when .............................
"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

Sorry Keith, I can't agree on that. Tried to send you a pm to explain why but it says you can't receive any. I'll explain next time I see you

I'll be honest I have no idea what happened in the tackle but a couple of the older gents stood with us seemed to think there was foul play involved.

I suppose it just shows that different views from different parts of the ground can bring about different responses and opinions. I'm not trying to say one way or another there was any intent or foul play here. Just glad that at the end of the day Ell is ok.

I'm intrigued now - who plays god on this panel? Are they the same every week ?? Did they decide that Morris' would be as bad as McIlorum's tackle that was as bad as Rangi Chases jaw breaker???
The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but thats the way to bet!

All the panel when they get to haven games have their shoelaces taken off them and ties , and are under medical supervision . A helpline is also in place for when they go home in case of physcological damage. Not surprisingly the turnover on the panel is very high . The toughest prisoners who refuse to speak in Guantanamo and have resisted all CIA tactics crack ten minutes into Haven v Gateshead...

Gateshead was just a team for the tale... The general point remains . It's sort of irrelevant who the opposition is... They'd have enjoyed watching town this season I reckon as a nice antidote...

What a pathetic attempt at a retort, especially when Gateshead achieved something Haven have failed to do this season.......
