Could anyone tell me who (if anyone) the Lions played on the weekend of Sunday 27th February 1977 please? I was three days old and in the Children's Hospital, and I've always wondered if there was a home game that weekend.
Cheers
John

The club where Eurovision isn't a dirty word. A waltz through the leopard skin lined world of Tom Jones, Bert Kampfert and Burt Bacharach. Step out to the sound of the happy hammond and swing to the seductive sounds of the samba.
DJ's, raffles, cocktails and wide collars. Please dress smart. Gentlemen might like to wear a suit.
Same price. Same music. Same rubbish prizes.

I get the feeling it was Challenge cup weekend, and I think we played Widnes and got beat 36-5, looking through my records and Steven Wilds book, Widnes went on to lose to Saints in the final.

I'm fairly sure Leeds beat Widnes in the '77 final. I was there.
Widnes beat Saints the previous year (my first Wembley visit, aged 10).
