What are the odds Steve that he falls out with em (Haven not kfc) then takes em to court over unfair dismissal
I can't remember him going to court after Castleford didn't give him a further contract.I can't even remember him getting to court after he was unfairly dismissed at Gateshead.
Perhaps it's the rum ?

Yes,you certainly know something no one else in and around rugby league,or in and around the pubs Dave has run,has happened to discover.
He is as much a drinker as I am.
Try finding a player who has witnessed DW drinking alcohol.
It's not only Yorkshiremen involved in attempting to run rugby league clubs but the supporters as well.
Beggars belief !

Ok then, a publican in charge of a team with a drinking culture then.
Still a disaster waiting to happen.
Bobbie Goulding was the other name in the frame so i guess they must have tossed a coin.

I just find it a bit strange that Dave Woods did a great job at Cas and Gateshead but was shown the door and,the term rolling contract when he was in his last year at York and was moved aside,he did say he was'nt happy with the travel from Gatehead to York but to have done good jobs at most of the clubs he coached at, and got the push, more to it me thinks................Yes,you certainly know something no one else in and around rugby league,or in and around the pubs Dave has run,has happened to discover.

Hmm thats interesting reading .....................not much in -hitehaven, plenty on chippies, kebab shops and a couple indian takeways, if its food he likes the local cuisine is jam butties which the locals eat day and night, so the big fella shouldnt starveI just find it a bit strange that Dave Woods did a great job at Cas and Gateshead but was shown the door and,the term rolling contract when he was in his last year at York and was moved aside,he did say he was'nt happy with the travel from Gatehead to York but to have done good jobs at most of the clubs he coached at, and got the push, more to it me thinks................

The plot thickens........The travel from Gateshead to York bit is funny considering in his time at York he firstly ran the Fox & Hounds at Copmanthorpe , the moved onto the Cross Keys on Tadcaster Road where he stayed til after his release from the Knights

Since 2005,when he was at Cas,he has now reached his 3rd club - his 4th in total.
How many clubs has John Kear been involved with in a similar time scale ?
Hunslet is the 3rd in a much shorter time for Barry Eaton.
As you working class people don't relate to the workers - the coaches and players, lets take the employees.
Richard Wright at Cas has now stood down having promised and failed to deliver a stadium.
I'll miss out information about the convicted shareholder (Gateshead) but state Steve Garside is now a private box-holder at Wakey sponsoring Ben Cockayne.
The guy at York has had 10 years there and is now onto about the 12th or 13th coach.
Dave Woods is now away from any Yorkshire influence - is highly regarded by rugby league people blessed with more knowledge than those who guess at people's eating habits;and are well wide of the mark - He's happy to be back in the sport at a decent level and I'm happy,he's happy.
I also know he is far better than his detractors.Carry on......
