Well our new coach won't be Dave Woods as he has been appointed as head coach at Whitehaven.

Pity as he is proven at this level having taken York and Gateshead up to Chapionship in previous seasons.
Would have liked him at Oldham.

We defo didn't want Woods as coach - he may have got results at certain clubs, (usually on the back of investment), but the fact he has usually left under a cloud tells it's own story.

Having good knowledge of Woods, he would if been a perfect candidate for the job. Promotion with no money at Gateshead, York is a good record as a coach isn't it? Also with Cas, a low budget squad compared to others, exciting rugby, guess what? He got them promoted as well. Three clubs, three promotions, not bad record eh? Dave speaks his mind, and for me, if you can't be honest, then it's time to walk way.

In relation to Gatesheads attendances/income, he had a lot less than Barrow, Doncaster and Celtic to play with. Give the fella some credit.

Yes maybe with the attendances, but that's why they failed they pumped loads of money into a club with 200-300 crowds. They had a wealthy backer, so he had plenty of money.
