Excellent news, Shaw and Brennan definatly add some punch, not too sure about Duffy though, just looks far too weighty for a young lad.
Only downside i can see is that someone will have to make way for them. If Holty sticks with Shaw as a centre, rather than a winger as Warrington have been using him as, that means either Twiggy or Low will make way, personally, rather see him switch twiggy to the wing with Shaw as his centre, with Lowe and Haney on the wing, but that wont happen as the alleged golden boy who can do no wrong despite being $h1te (Nixon) will undoubtedly keep his place underservedly

To be fair Leigh don't think Duffy is far too weighty. Everyone is entitled to their opinion though

I'm sure you could express your opinion of James Nixon in a more construct way. We are all entitled to an opinion and I would never try to influence you, however I still think James has a lot to offer and has shown some of his old form this season. Perhaps it is barrows style of play rather than his talent as he rarely gets the ball in some games.

I agree Mike. James has played ok considering the little possession he gets. There's still a buzz when he gets the ball and he copes well in defence

I feel Nixon doesn't get the possession from his centre as they know he'll just nip inside and take the easy tackle. It's been mentioned time and time again about his injuries leaving him with little confidence, but in the championship I feel he'll be taking up a spot for someone much more able. He's shown he doesn't like to tackle and a lot this year he didn't look like he wanted to challenge for the ball when the high bomb was put up. IMO I'd let him go

There is a collective gasp when then ball gets kicked to him, and at the South Wales game, this was followed by an ironic cheer when he caught it and took a tackle. Maybe my previous comment was a little harsh, but i just feel that other players in the squad continually offer much more than Nixon does to the team yet get dropped. Backhouse, whilst not being the fastest winger in the world plays with his heart on his sleeve and gives everything when in a raiders shirt. I have waited for the past 2 seasons for Nixon to proe me wrong but fails to do so on a weekly basis.
Back on topic, heard from a source at Warrington the both Duffy and Brennan have been released from contracts. Duffy has apparently signed for Leigh next season, but not heard whether Brennan has signed on with anyone yet. Brennan is the better of the 2 in my opinion and hopefully the Raiders will try retain his services, it would also be someone to share Dandy's traveling with.

think shaw will be playing in warrington u20 grand final on saturday so imo he cant play on the next day against donny. that would be a big ask and a bit of a gamble imo.

Provided he is fit after Saturday I would pick him. His kicking warrants his inclusion.
