If you mean that you'd like Dewsbury to SIGN Paul White, you're probably a bit late Eduardo.
What I'm looking for is someone who can contribute to what England has given to the world: culture, sophistication, genius. A little bit more than an 'ot dog, know what I mean?

No doubt you'll be saying this everytime a rumoured rams target chooses to go elsewhere. That's not a dig at Dewsbury but don't be hypocritical and change your mind about a player just because he hasn't signed for you.

And bragging rights comes in the form of league wins against each other not a Boxing Day hit out that seems to be getting less and less significant by the year. At least from the coaches perspective anyway.

So you won't be going to the game on Boxing Day then?

When did I say I wouldn't be going. Course ill be there. Only missed one batley game all last season, including away ones.

However I won't be going expecting an intense struggle. It's a practice match in all reality Eddie. Would obviously like us to win but in all honesty it's no big deal if we don't and whatever the outcome it hasn't got any bearing on the season ahead.

Only a practice match? In recent years didn't we play for the Roy Powell trophy? Correct me if I'm wrong!

We do but it makes no difference, as both JK and WJ admitted. Of course both sides want to win but with 8/9 rolling subs each, both teams trying new things and it being the first game of the season, we can't expect it to be anything more than a practice match.

Look at last year. You guys looked fantastic, we looked awful. Had absolutely no bearing on the league campaign though did it in fairness.

Gone are the days when it was a massive game, although to some fans it might still be. I'm not one of those. The pre season friendlies are called that for a reason.

For anyone who has ever played rugby knows there isn't such a thing as a ( friendly game ) they just don't exist and these pre season games are for the coach to try out what has been worked on on the training ground with the players he has in a proper game situation, training is training a game is a whole new ball game

I'm fully aware. I was talking retrospectively on the basis that he was in charge for the last Boxing Day game.

Im not sure if any previous coaches (Batley or Dewsbury) treated the Boxing Day Derby with the distain that WJ and JK appeared to, but the game always has a significance (even if its the Rams only realistic chance of a victory each season)

Shame about Brev resigning for the doggies again, also said in The Press that Ian Preece is retiring at only 26,I'm now hoping we can get Ash to join us.

Is Ian Preece really only 26 years old? He seems to have been around at Dewsbury and Batley for too long to be so young.

I suppose somebody that could go the length of the field against the quicker opposition would be too much to hope for ?

Dream on. He knocked on over the line more times than he scored.

Faal was a big loss but Esders.........
