Please take note that the injuries sustain on the hardBecause what you have posted bears no relation to the amateur game!
Bryn Hargreaves raises some valid points about the financially security a career in rugby league can provide - or not as the is! How does this relate to your player in the NCL?
Those Super League players having surgery at the end of the season - that's extremely unusual and would never have happened if they'd been playing in the mud in winter! Oh wait! I thought one of the arguments against the amateurs playing in the winter was that they wouldn't have the luxury of playing on the heavily watered, lush, playing surfaces that those Super League players do. The points it would appear that you are trying to make are irrelevant to the amateur game. Give it a rest, your getting as bad as Marauder!

I can see where the hype for summer rugby came from (More players, better weather, more supporters and higher bar takings) tie all these and other selling points together and everything would be rosey - The true facts are with a great number of clubs this and more has not happened simply because people have other distractions in the summer months.does any clubs keep a tack of their gate receips, we are down approx 6K on a normal season, nothing to worry about only teathing problems, people will soon start to cancel their summer to support rugby!!!

Winners and Losers is a fact, but how long can the losers keep losing? what is the alternative for the losers?

Don't know where your coming from with this when clubs are reporting that their takings are down in the summer and we are looking into providing shelter for our supporter.I hear rumours of a Winter season, some teams might be able to persuade some fans to come out in the cold to watch...

ground of the summer seem to be the ones that are more likely to be career ending to an amateur player simply because they don't have the care and attention that Super League players get.

Couldn't put it any better.just like the last 100 plus years you mean? you have a better chance of someone putting a jacket on then persuading them not to get married and cancel their summer holidays and so on,

Cheers - Take a look at the injuries (I believe

A study of one team - hardly conclusive evidence! Run over six consecutive seasons. Could it be that the players are getting old and suffering more wear and tear injuries, due to their age/duration of playing the game?
