Tom Branagan (26), Gaz Everton (25), Craig Hookway (25), Dean Armstrong (25), Shaun Carver (32), Mark Roach (32) & Jason Blanchard (23) thats their age now and we've not played in the summer for 2 seasons, apart from Carver and Roachy the other guys would have been about 21ish when they received their injuriesA study of one team - hardly conclusive evidence! Run over six consecutive seasons. Could it be that the players are getting old and suffering more wear and tear injuries, due to their age/duration of playing the game?

That is still not a wide enough study to draw wide ranging conclusions from. There are numerous factors that you need to consider as well. How the game changed throughout the period, whether training methods changed, There are too many intangibles to draw conclusions from one study of one team, over a short period of time.Tom Branagan (26), Gaz Everton (25), Craig Hookway (25), Dean Armstrong (25), Shaun Carver (32), Mark Roach (32) & Jason Blanchard (23) thats their age now and we've not played in the summer for 2 seasons, apart from Carver and Roachy the other guys would have been about 21ish when they received their injuries

Check the link for the survey on the super league, check the Giants injury list and in 5 or 6 years check on your own teams injuries (I hope you don't get any)That is still not a wide enough study to draw wide ranging conclusions from. All i've pointed out is that it isn't a very wide ranging study - which is plain to see. I don't have a romantic view of summer, although I am of the belief that it is the best for the future of the game at all levels. The NCL has signed up to play in the summer for at least 3 years and I believe that it is only right that you give things an appropriate amount of time to succeed (or fail) before passing judgement. I think constantly trying to chip away at something and pick on every minor mishap and attempt to make it into a major fault/obstacle by rolling out the propaganda machine, is at best childish and at worst cynical and spiteful and is being done to suit people's agendas.Statto who is now becoming tiresome ,every bit of evidence which does not support your romantic view of summer is met with derision .
I'm not denying that there are some major issues that have arisen too, they need looking at with some urgency, in particular those at youth level.

I'm sure your well aware of the high profile propaganda the RFL used/still use to entice the amateur game into the summer and I'm sure that you know that all the promise of larger bar taking, more player involvement etc have not of yet bore fruit, I'm sure you'll be also aware that the funding towards travel will be further reduced because of the extra 9 teams being admitted into the NCL - next step will be NCL clubs will become feeder clubs to the feeder clubs for the Super League. All i've pointed out is that it isn't a very wide ranging study - which is plain to see. The whole purpose of a forum is to discuss current issues and if and i say if ,the move to March to November is damaging the fabric of the game why wait three years to rectify it ?It has decimated the game at youth level in the Nw so im sorry my personal agenda is to protect the game not destroy it and for that I make no apologies.

Don't know where your coming from with this when clubs are reporting that their takings are down in the summer and we are looking into providing shelter for our supporter.
Is this the Freudian slip of the year?
