Not going to repeat the most popular but Tina Weymouth of Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club would be high on my list, fantastic player.

There's no 'h' in John Entwistle first three posters. I always figured Pete Townshend stole it. Entwistle number 1 for me anyway. Most of my other favourite listed anyway.

I thought I'd just post a video of mine that I took about a year ago. Colin Hodgkinson, a guy who has never been mainstream (a couple of years in Whitesnake yonks ago being the closest), buy I think he is a spectacular player. Probably my number 2 that I've ever seen live.

Good shout about JJB, brilliant style. Cant agree about Simonon though, did the job but nothing sensational IMO. Lots of his bass is high in the mix due to the reggae vibe and producers a lot of the time.

Paul Mccartney to begin with. Listen to Paperback writer for a snippet of his ability. Doesn't get the credit for bass cos he can play the lot at an excellent level.
