Does anyone know anything about these clubs that have mysteriously appeared on the Yorkshire Men's League website? They're based in Skipton and Sheffield respectively.

Wharncliffe Dragons is a good name (read near the bottom of http://en.wikipedia....arncliffe_Crags) but even though I'm reasonably local I have not got a clue who they are.
Perhaps another spin off club from somebody dissatisfied with their current club. Who knows.

There seems to have e been a slow expansion of amateur RL to the North of Keighley in the last few years. First was the reformation of a side in Silsden. Then there was Cowling Harlequins and West Craven in Barnoldswick. Now the Aire Valley Vikings in Skipton. Skipton has been historically low level RU territory, so , if this is true, and, if it suceeds, that s great news.
The nearest senior team are the Cougars, so maybe we are expanding the game into areas I have previously speculated, could be part of the fan base area for the Cougars. The grassroots grow in the stoniest of ground, it seems. i wish them well.

I used to live in Barnoldswick, there are quite a few RL fans there and a number do support Cougars.
