Well championship teams are at it already and it emphasises the next 4 months are important to town. I have faith in our BOD to deliver. Once we know who is staying and who isnt we can get cracking. They have their work cut out but I'm sure they will get ot right. We have some quality players and we just need to retain and top up the quality. There will be better opposition to take on and its going to be exciting.

Gonna be great . More like SL 2 with the inflood of academy cast offs. If we can get our share of them ( like the 5 this year ) and add them to what we have and a bit of further experience and class we can do OK. Featherstone and Leigh bedded in before prospering , whatever Woodsy says that's all you've got to be looking at first up . It is very very tough , your hardest games this year will be your easiest next !!

I'm thinking we need a goal kicker and strengthening in the halves. We have a replacement at hooker but could do with competition in the centres and a bit more beef in the pack. I hope its true we are looking at southern hemisphere players.

Do we reckon Lupton will see out his contract or even be able to as the Star really put a downer on his injury didn't they , saying his knee injury was one of the worst you can get ?

Dallimore is a goal kicker isn't he. Hopefully he's one of our 1st recruits. And I've said it before forber is a very good player with the right partner, and a top kicker to boot.

Hopefully Lupton will do the decent thing and offer to retire as he hasn't really lived up to his reputation. Dropping down 2 leagues he shouldve been outstanding but he was far from that which is a pity but town could get a quality player for that money

Fev and Sheffield won't be packed full of SL players on duel reg contracts so if you have half the St Helens first team squad playing for you then you have a chance of winning the damn thing. The Championship table won't necessarily be a reflection on the strength of the teams rather the strength of the SL loan players that clubs can get in. Personally this weakens the competition not strengthen it as young players who would be coming in and developing now get pushed out at the expense of duel reg players.

Fully agree with your last two lines Phil, ruining our game I think.

Dual reg is a sham that suits the SL clubs much more than it ever will the lower league clubs. I hope we dont even bother with them next year, would prefer season long loans, or at least half seasons. At least then you can plan every game in advance without waiting until thursday/friday to see if your dual reg players are in their clubs 18.
