Lets hope Bretherton can regain his 2011 form. I'm pleased that Maun has re-signed. I don't think he'll be a first choice next season, but he'll be a great squad player to bring in when needed.
What I'm looking for is someone who can contribute to what England has given to the world: culture, sophistication, genius. A little bit more than an 'ot dog, know what I mean?

Good news, that'll stop the Rams fans bleating on about their prodigal son returning home then.

Don't need him, we've got better players coming to the Rams.

Boxing Day, Schmoxing Day. I'm never really bothered about the result on the 26th, to be honest. Its just a money-spinning friendly and the result is pretty meaningless.

So bragging rights against your local rivals means nothing to you?

Not as much as it presumably means to you - after all, you have so little else to brag about!! By the way, most people grow out of the tendency to say "Didn't want it any way" when they are denied something, usually around four years of age.

Usually at the age of four children start school. However, you never went to school as you were too busy sledging down the pitch at Mount Pleasant!

Can you explain the Mount Taliban reference please, I'm not sure I get the link?
I presume it's because I'm not well versed when it comes to trolling.

'Bragging rights' = one of the most spurious, pointless expressions ever created. For what its worth, I'm only bothered about league games, where pride really is at stake.

So you won't be going on Boxing Day then?

Of course I will. I've been watching Batley for 29 years from the age of 2, and rarely miss a home or away game. In fact, I don't think I've missed more than one Heavy Woollen game since 1988. It'll be a nice if we win, but any pleasure gained from victory will quickly be rationalised by the realisation that ultimately its a hollow victory of little/no consequence. If we are triumphant, I certainly won't be spending the week that follows the match going round Dewsbury 'bragging' to the masses gathered in BrightHouse and McDonalds.

I hope the Rams stuff Batley on Boxing Day and in the League.

Well your going to do aren't you being a rams fan. Would be very strange if you we're looking for batley victories.
In the same way I hope we have another top season and continue to progress. At the same time I hope you lot have a better year, obviously not including our 2 games.
