to NRL Grand Final 2012

Tempus fugit. It seems like only yesterday that we were starting with our Round 1 tipping competition and now here we are with our blockbusting Grand Final occasion just a few days away.

Step forward Bulldogs

... the minor premiers
Rumble in the Storm

... the team who were runners up in the minor premiership



This promises to be a spectacular collision of top class fired up players - not to mention top class coaches Des Hasler and Craig Bellamy.

It's all to play for!

Everyone is welcome to join in this competition. Newcomers are welcome even at this late stage. This season has once more been a very friendly but fiercely fought affair. Thank you to everyone who has taken part. Your friendship and company has been very welcome.

As it is a special event this coming Sunday here's this week's special Grand Final Competition Questions to add to your enjoyment of the great day.

There being a choice of just two teams, it was always likely that the tie breaker would be needed this week; and so it was!
Bourbon Rat, Barney and G Las D went into the tie breaker as top scorers. None of the three got the points total prediction exactly. The closest of the three and therefore Champion Tipster this week is Barney

With a final score of 4 - 14 the points total was 24
None of us predicted this number, our predictions were all greater than this. nearest though and winner here was Southstander13 ((+9)

The first player to score was Ryan Hoffman with a try on 7 minutes.
None of us picked Ryan out here so there's no winner.

None of us got this either by score or points difference. The nearest was Bourbon Rat (4 points away with 6 point difference)

None of us got this scoreline correct but G Las D got a 10 point Storm Victory so wins this one

As for the last line ... I'll not go there ........

Sheffield were the best team on the day. All we needed was one decent move at the right time near the end - but couldn't manage it. It's good to be a Fev fan these days though all the same!
