Well done to the lads on a cracking season. Shame it didn't happen today. See you next season for the Championship.
Good luck to those lads retiring - or moving on.

Barring a horrendous injury list I'm sure we'd have walked the league and the play offs. To hammer Haven out of sight last week with so many injuries was nothing short of fantastic.

Well done all at WTRLFC for the season. We were fairly lucky with injuries until the final straight but thats rugby league. I'm sure if we had a little more luck with injuries we would have been top of the league and gone on to the GF. Even with our injury list i feel we could have beaten donny at DP.

The lads all did us proud this season and were a joy to watch at times. A big well done to each and every one of them.
I think the lesson we need to learn for next season is that we need some strength in depth in the squad and hopefully the BOD will find the money to allow that to happen.

The club have used over 30 players this season but you can't legislate for injuries or people dummy spitting. To have a bigger squad than this season would be financial suicide

Strength in depth doesn't mean we need a bigger squad, it just means having good cover in key positions. I think most people said at the start of the season that the squad was lop-sided with forwards and not enough cover in the backs, its proved to be the case (look at today with 4 props on the bench).

The lads who were in the squad would've been quite capable in this league but you can keep lads happy if they aren't getting a game so no matter how much strength you have they won't hang about if they don't get game time

I'd like to say thankyou to all the players for their efforts through the season . A very good season that had the potential and promise to be better but for injuries and inconsistency in the final quarter in my opinion . This league wasn't as strong as recent years and that's the frustration ... We saw we had Barra n Donny covered on our day . We said all season we had to make the top 2 to get the Grand Final passage , and the Gateshead result cost us that , and from then on it was gonna be tough . I think we should have got into the top 2 but that's water under the bridge now .Never did we lack effort or desire . Bad luck with injuries led to our form being hit .We could have won this league but couldn't get our top players on the paddock at once ! But now we've got to look ahead and look to strengthen . First up must be halves who can break the line and have the fast passing game both ways to free up the three quarters. Match winning halves to turn forward dominance and possession into points are gonna be priceless in a league where every win is gonna be hard earned . The best ones make everyone around them a better player .Still , an enjoyable season ,some great wins and tries , and were improving and I'm sure will be competitive next year .

I've got to say I couldn't be more proud to be a town fan. Outstanding season, yes weve got no silverware but we got our main goal and seen some fantastic rugby from the boys. Each and everyone can hold there head high and know they've been a credit to our club

Very proud to be a Town fan, massive effort from the players, BOD, staff and fans this season. Promotion gained with 5 or so games to go, 5 straight wins over the jampots and play off semi final, some great rugby played and great tries scored, would have settled for that in February. Good luck to the players who are retiring and any moving on.

Great effort this afternoon 20 . 0 sounds like a bad defeat but certaainly dosn't reflect how the game went. They were in our 25 twice in the first half and scored once from a chargedown and again from a kick through. We dominated possesion and bossed the game, we just lacked a bit of flair to get us over the line. We lost Annakin in the first minute of the second half for what looked like a superb tackle, and Olstrum with a bad injury. Considering the players we had missing and those out of position (Stack centre) it was a great performance with some of the tackling as good as last week.
Only 533 at the game and that included 3 full buses of Town fans plus those who went by car. I can only see one winner next week and I predict that the Donny fans will be outnumbered by about 5 to 1.
Well done Town thanks for a great season, see you next year.....Up the Town.

Well done Town, Team, Board, Staff and Fans. Fantastic effort this season, has been the best season I have seen, only seen the last nine mind. The word warriors comes to mind about the team itself, especially after last week beating Haven for the fifth time in the said season, in appalling conditions when both teams gave their all, neither wanting to lose and each fighting to the end, what a battle.
Really looking forward to next season, might even join the Blue and White Army, how does one enlist ?

Well done this season, looking forward to the trip up to Cumbria next season. Promotion had to be the priority and you've done that so it's job done and now the hard work begins to get the recruitment right for the start of next season.
