Doncaster beat Workington 20-0 today to set up a repeat of last weeks fixture in the GF.
Whilst last weeks result was close, I think that on a neutral ground we will prevail.

Just got back from Doncaster and Barrow will beat them next week. Town gave them two soft tries in the first half and then had a man sent off in the 3rd minute of the 2nd half. Despite that Doncaster struggled to get out of their own half against 12 men. We twice got over the line but Leahy cancelled out both and we never once got the rub of the green. The sending off was no worse than what we see on the SL every week but one of the TJ's convinced Leahy that a Town man should walk and that was that. It wasn't a spear tackle in the correct sense of the word as both Town players were forcing the man back and as they all went over the Donny player landed on his shoulders but the Town lads still had hold of him. The programme notes talked of the cycnical off the ball challenge on Cooke last week, and a 2 point defeat under dubious circumstances!!!! Good luck next week.

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

I must admit I would have loved a Cumbrian final but I feel more confident with donny. Workington are so unpredictable I fear that we would lose. Come on Barrow...the future is bright..the future is blue and white.....
