Next SL Franchise

If you see the logic in the argument this adds new spice to the up coming play off final between Sheffield and Featherstone. If Sheffield win they will qualify to apply for SL next time round, and as an 'out of area' club any application they make could well be viewed favourably. It is therefore doubly important to Featherstone not to let this happen, by beating Sheffield in the final.
Another scenario is that either Cas or Wakefield could be dropped from SL leaving a place for Featherstone. Probably not likely, but some say that Wakefield weren't far away from being dumped when Widnes moved up, so not altogether impossible either.
I'm not trying to cause mischief with this posting, just to promote a bit of discussion.

But it's not SL I'm worried about.
I reckon the nine team CC1 are really going to struggle next season.

Fev will keep plugging away and we are working hard on and off the field. Our ground will look different at the start of the new season as we develop the railway end. All we can do is to keep progressing and what will be will be.

Call me selfish. but I'd hate to see fev leave the championship - see I can say that now the dogs have become the new pied pipers of dewsbury. There's no guarantee Cas or Wakefield will be in SL come the next round of franchises or that SL will look like it does now. Sheffield are a well run club with all the Academy and Scholarship teams, all they lack is support.

Nah, we leave the rats at Dewsbury.
It's the decent players we take.
