I would have liked a tenner for every Town fan who commented on what a great stadium the Keepmoat is!!!!

A stadium half the size of the Keepmoat with the same facilities in proportion would have been great for sport in Workington. They have a Sunday morning market on the car parks that can cater for 350 stalls at £25 each and on the adjoining small stadium they have a grandstand that holds 500 with a 6 lane running track around it. This is the home of Doncaster Belles FC; Doncaster FC's Reserves, Doncaster RLFC Academy team and an athletics club. The stadium also gets concerts because of the quality of the facilities.

How the other half live!!!!! A total difference from the old Tattersfield.

I wonder when the work on ours starts ? There's the season then right into the WC , so you'd think now would be the best window to kick off or there'll be doing all they're gonna do during the playing season . Haven't heard much on all the plans lately or timescale.

When it was all 1st announced they said the work would begin this off season and most of the work be done for the start of our league campaign. The keepmoat is a fantastic stadium though, and looking forward to visiting the likes of Leigh next year.

A lot less than the upkeep, insurance, utility bills, pitch maintenance & staff costs the club will already have I would imagine

rockerlad, I didn't start this thread to have an argument with Reds fans. I started it to show what can be achieved with the right attitude. It isn't just a stadium it is part of a sports village catering for many sports and events not just soccer and rugby league. The Keepmoat is a 15,000 capacity stadium which would be too large for our area but half that capacity stadium would have been great with other facilities around it catering for other sports & events.

you have the nerve to have a go at haven fans when they call Bowden names, but think it is ok to call the directors of another club name, double standards or what.

Keith i know you were not starting a thread to have an arguement with reds fans, but yet again some on here took it among them selfs to slagg the reds off and make personel comments about reds directors, not to mention for the 2nd time I have been swore at by town fans.

If you read some of my posts on the haven forum i do nothing but defend town and not one have fan has used insulting words towards me.

and if you read the after match thread on the haven site, i had an arguement with some of their fans in the toilet for comments made about miller!
