Does that mean a nine team NCL third division then, or are there other clubs dropping down from division 2?

Clubs have until Wednesday to confirm that they accept their membership so I suspect the format of divisions below division 1 need to wait til then.

It's not double standards to want an NCL where fixtures are fulfilled but to let in clubs whose Clubmark certificate will be rubber stamped during the 2013 season.

The question of if the clubs meet the required standard was asked by one of the member clubs and the chairman of the NCL said that they all did so we can only assume that they do. This has been the way that the NCL have always done things regarding new clubs applying to join the league and that is that the management visit the clubs then look at all different aspects of their activities to see if they meet those standards, and only when thay do will the management recommend them to the member clubs.

Thanks for replying , but as 4 of the clubs accepted don't have club Mark then seems like they are not fulfilling what is part of the criteria also I know that not all the applying clubs were visited .

If a club is known to fail criteria it is not worth a visit.

What happens to the management committee if it's found that one or more of these clubs don't meet the required criteria?
Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.<div align='center'></div>

A visit is necessary for ground criteria but not to see if a club fulfils its fixtures or has reserve and junior sides.

Really, how many would have made it into the NCL 15 years ago?

If you went back 25 years then 31 out of the current 41 clubs would need kicking out including 4 out of the 5 Hull clubs.

Actually 33 weren't as one founder member is rejoining and one is absent. But the National League was actually limited to 10 clubs with 1 town 1 club. Meaning one of the current top 2 in premier wouldn't be allowed.
