So, they don't call you "Stupid" for nothing then. All of the clubs were visited - guaranteed. Which four clubs don't have Clubmark - please tell me and I will make some calls tomorrow to verify! Thanks for replying , but as 4 of the clubs accepted don't have club Mark then seems like they are not fulfilling what is part of the criteria also I know that not all the applying clubs were visited .

I wouldn't bother ringing, its working towards Clubmark that counts as the 5 Hull clubs in the Premier are trying to achieve. So, they don't call you "Stupid" for nothing then. Martyn Cheney, a lifelong supporter of the Amber and Black and chairman since 2004, commented: “It looks like we’ve been hung out to dry by the NCL for no clear, apparent reason and its a decision that has angered a lot of people with Rugby League in their blood
How they belive there is no apparant reseason if beyond me.

So if they only look at the 2 page application form that we submitted and did not ask anymore questions how then can they make a decision based on that .I would of at least thought it might have been courtesy to actually speak to the chairmen of all the clubs that were turned down,no doubt others may also feel aggrieved that they were not at least be able to discuss it with the people at the ncl who made the decision?

CAS YORKIE How can we fail on the ground Stanningley play out of the same ground? it was always in the plans to try and start a second string and was discussed at the start of the last season, and we have got ties with a junior team and we are working towards clubmark and have been doing so all year.

Its not your ground you need your own ground with your own junior set up you need to complete your fixtures, i believe you have stuggled to complete all your games and you may have plans to start a second team but until you run a second team it will not count.Do you expect the NCL to guarantee you and Stanningley alternate home games all season to accomodate you.NCL games are played on Saturdays usually unless both teams agree to swap i think it is unfeasable to run 2 teams from one ground for a full season.

we didnt fulfil 1 fixture .....thats all 1 fixture , and i am sure if we looked back NCL teams have also had problems at one time or another fulfilling fixtures.
As for running a second team does it matter if they fulfil their fixtures or not ? Or are they just used as a back up for the first team and they take precedence.

cas yorkie ... we have been ground sharing for the past 9 years with stanningley and stanningley played summer rugby this last year as did Rhinos teams as well and there were no problems.

There is a difference to reserve grade team fulfilling all there fixtures and you not even having a team.Just out of interest how many lads do Bramley have that they would class as Bramley players who maybe play a bit of winter rugby for another club not players who have a winter club but play summer for Bramley.

I think it would be even harder for you to get a team out on Saturdays (March - May at least) as that's when Osset Trinity and Hunslet Old Boys usually play. Good job most of your games this year were played on Sunday.

I can understand why they're upset but can't understand why they think there's no reason. A deeper problem is the lack of viable tier 4 leagues in Yorkshire (some would say tier 4 outside of the North West, Cumbria and I guess the North East)What i dont understand is why a club like Bramley would apply for the NCL when they fail so much on critieria ie ground youth/reserve team etc.

We did play friday nights to try something different and also sundays to stop fixture congestion with rhinos/stanningley not so players could play for someone on a saturday and then bramley on the sunday.
It really doesnt matter where else they play the commitment they have shown while playing for bramley has been commendable travelling the distances we did this summer to play fixtures.

D34 we do already play saturdays and all players that play for bramley are bramley players....they may play elsewhere in winter but choose to play for bramley in summer and as such have all been signed to play.we have played fixtures on sundays as some teams who were in ncl3 asked us to play on a different day,Hemel come to mind as they prefer to play all their home fixtures on a sunday.

Iwould take it that most of the players you use are mainly affiliacted with winter teams which is fine that they choose to play for you in Summer but i think the main point people are saying how can you complete in the full NCL season when most of your players will be still playing winter at the start of the NCL summers season and returning to there clubs before the end for the start of the next winter season.
Until you can turn this round with other things i cant see how the NCL will recommend you.
You switched games last season to stop fixture congestion with Rhinos and Stanningley as a NCL you have to have first choice on your pitch another thing Bramley dont have and i notice you still havent said which Junior team you are working with.

Even though we share with RU I believe we got around this at Coventry by having first choice at an additional suitable ground (i.e. where our reserves, juniors and women play)Iwould take it that most of the players you use are mainly affiliacted with winter teams which is fine that they choose to play for you in Summer but i think the main point people are saying how can you complete in the full NCL season when most of your players will be still playing winter at the start of the NCL summers season and returning to there clubs before the end for the start of the next winter season.
