Fantastic Win well done boys, despite the boo-boys crowd trying their best to put Europe off, the start of the singles really shook the Yanks

As predcited, I got sucked in at the last minute. Great stuff, always good to shut the Yanks up.
Astute analysis from a Wigan fan:

Rumour going around Headingley that Wire will have to play the second half with 12 men.

It seems that they forgot to bring the half time oranges, and Solomona ate Chris Bridge instead.

Don't know why he was hungry, as he looked as though he had eaten the whole youth team before the game started.

Not a Golf fan, so didn't watch. But a comeback like that is yet another contribution to what has been an amazing year for sport.

Regardless of entertainment, golf is enough to put anyone in a severe comma.

A comma?not a punctuation mark

And how can something be regardless of entertainment value put anyone in a coma?come on kid

Back on thread cant believe the result from the 10-4 score on saturday, the yanks must be shellshocked after setting the course up to suit their big hitters(heard today that 1200 trees were chopped down under instruction from the yank captain)Think this team might this time win team of the year award at the SPOTY awards after having rightly IMO missing out in 2006 to St.Helens.
Cant wait for Gleneagles 2014

That's a big shout after Team GB's success this summer. You could probably throw Chelsea into the mix too after their Champions League win. It'll be very interesting!

IIRC they didn't miss out to St. Helens, they finished third behind St. Helens and Sussex CCC on a telephone vote.

One thing that counts against them (rightly or wrongly !!) is that the Ryder Cup team is representing EUROPE whereas St. Helens / Sussex CCC / Chelsea are BRITISH organisations.

I seem to remember the Kangaroos winning an international team of the year a while back - do they still have that ?

And weren't they wonderfully graceless in defeat? :D

It was quite revealing in terms of just how much of a hoot is given about a supposedly major event by the general population.

Woosie had to have another dram just to get the word 'sinister' out.
