Good to see half the Yorkshire team coming from the Pennine league.
surely if its a barla yorkshire team then all the players should come from the winter pennine league. why are ncl players selected if theyre summer based rfl players?

The Ncl players should be picked and they have every right to ,we want the best amatuer players no matter what season they play in representing BARLA .
barla is winter though, isnt it?, surely they should be picking players who play winter. the summer players will be off season once the tri county season starts. i also thought county selection was a must to ensure a selection to the gb sides, obviously not.
also a question on why and who organises a gb barla fixture on a sat, and also a gb community lions tour(knees up) just when the ncl fixtures/ league is coming to a climax, depriving ncl teams of their best players and also forcing teams to rearrange fixtures to mid week to accomodate. not much thought gone into it in my eyes, or maybe a lot of thought, into trying to disrupt the end of season run in as much as possible??

The point that you raised regarding the NCL clubs has been a bone of contention for many years.
The NCL committee tried to negotiate with BARLA to have these county games outside the normal season but BARLA wouldnt budge and obviously still wont.
Their way at getting back at the NCL and RFL me thinks.

when the ncl played winter, playing the county fixtures when they did probably didnt impact on teams then as much as now as they were scheduled prior to christmas so teams could perhaps manage more without there better, ie county players, also midweek club fixtures werent played at that time of year then. however now, like i say, the ncl league is coming to its climax, teams require their county players more than ever as they build and try and maintain a high league position in preparation for the play offs. instead theres meaningless county and rep matches pencilled in to, in my eyes, to disrupt the whole ncl fixture list/ run in to the finale of the season.
players will play rep rugby whenever they can, but playing these fixtures now impacts on their clubs and teams, rearrangements to midweek disrupt clubs plans, players face 2 an 3 matches a week, and playing ncl prem is no easy task after a days graft, surely this isnt the best way to get the best from your players. it has become a club v county/country scenario again. i forgot though, barla want the best for their players.

Load of poo, why should BARLA (Take a look when the RFL Community Lions are touring) revolve everything around the NCL, This problem only became a problem when you jumped into bed with the RFL and has it's been stated they arn't really first class organisers are they. The point that you raised regarding the NCL clubs has been a bone of contention for many years.

looking at the above team it looks like barla do need to revolve around the ncl and summer leagues because i cant see many players from the winter league in that team. wonder why considering the so called wonderful standards of the winter competition.
also if you read the above posts i also question who has organised the community lions tour too because this too has an impact on the players, teams and clubs at this time of the season.

havent said there isnt, just question why none are there in that above team yet barla are winter based and ncl is summer based. why havent any from the winter based pennine league or any winter based league for that matter been selected.
