Joey is a new south welshman, but i wonder if Mal Meninga's pursuit of Kiwis for the Queensland SOO side has annoyed Johnny, even though that takes nothing away from Mals exploits on the field.Raper had been against Joey getting this accolade. I wonder what made him change his mind?

Like any well-meaning Award it is a flawed system, despite the great and the good voting for him, I thought there were a couple of better qualified names. That maybe should have got the vote!
