Diary Date – Tuesday October 9
As interested members of the media will already have noted, we now have possession of the magnificent Rugby League World Cup trophy, one of Paul Barreire’s many gifts to international Rugby League.
It was returned by holders New Zealand last week.
The trophy is currently at Fattorini’s (the historic specialist trophy company who always take such good care of the Challenge Cup) being spruced up ready to take it on the road in October and November to promote RLWC2013.
The trophy will be on the road throughout the rest of 2012 and throughout next year, using one of our greatest assets to promote the tournament.
The trophy will be launched at The George Hotel, Huddersfield on Tuesday October 9 with World Cup players past (and future) and a special performance from local schoolchildren.
