Very harsh on him gt, the lad has a job to go to an needs to take that into account. He had a decision to make, not just a rugby decision.

All I'm saying is that he'd surely have known that all along

Just to set the record straight with Dally, a lot of the true situation has already been posted by ruffyed. Town have been after Jamie for most of the season. At the back end of the season, Barrow and Haven joined the fray. He was invited up to the play off derby, but didn't attend. Worky at that stage had put an offer on the table that was a full financial one. Barrow and Haven had expressed nothing more than an interest. Before the end of the season , his Dad was already asking Hamilton to put an offer on the table. Hamilton took ages to do this. All Jamie wanted to do next season was play for Oldham, largely because he loves the club and the set up. He never used workington as a lever to get a better deal with the Roughyeds. Travel did play a factor in his decision to remain to with us.

Its ok mate, the majority of us understand his decision, at the level he is playing at he has to take into consideration a lot more than just the rugby. good luck to him, though it is now inevitable that Town will play Oldham in the cup next season. Then we will boo him.................... :D

As he is in dispute with Oldham, do you think this is back on the cards?

Well he would have Jamie Acton to keep him company on the journey now!!!

I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimension, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave Hadfield - Independent 25th August 1996.

You made a bad bad decision young Dalli . Acton is thriving here in a hugely competitive and fascinating league .
