What a player , what a signing for Leeds . Bizarre situation at Huddersfield with them stacking up hookers and none were as good as Lunty . Wonder if the new coach will value him more ?

Very well played last night Lunty, Huddersfields loss is certainly Leeds gain, your dedication to the sport is tremendous and you deserve the success, hope to see you back in a Town shirt someday.

Was at the game last night, and yes, Lunty had a cracking game, with some great defence. But then again, so did a lot of players as it was a fantastic game. Leeds were hugely focused on winning the game.
Mossop was relatively quiet, seems to lack a bit on conviction in himself going forward.

Good luck Shaun. Fantastic player and carried a pretty mediocre town team for a good couple of seasons. I would have loved to see him operate in our current side. Hopefully we will see him return to town when he's winding down a bit

Apparently Haven are trying to stop him playing for Leeds because he drove past Dave Woods yesterday and they claim he's there's now

Well its Tony Smith v Lunty in the final. On one hand I want warrington to win as Leeds are or were twinned with the Jambo's, but on the other hand Tony wasn't too complementary about his time up here ( or was that just living above the Blue Dolphin?) and I'd like Lunty to get a winners ring. Think I might do a bit of fence sitting on Sat night!

based only on what they did for Town (ie ignoring what Lunty has gone on to do since), who is better, Lunt or Mattinson? If Lunt, how close is Mattinson?

I think it's hard to judge, because let's face it lunt played with a very average if not poor town side so he looked head and shoulders above them, matty still looks the best player we have surrounded by other good players. Remember we have only really seen matty for 1 season. As for what they've done for town matty has helped us gain promotion which Lunt never but Lunt was surrounded by average players. I would have to say as of now there both pretty equal as town players

Agree with all of Wonky says, very very difficult to choose between them.

Don't like choices like that . More than one player is allowed to be excellent .

Agreed, and we've had some great hookers at Town. We all know Matty's SL class as well as Lunt. Just hope he gets some better luck with the injuries next year.
