Well done to the Eagles. I can see a Super League licence winging their way.
Is their attendance enough for an application?

Sheffield deserved to win. Great game to watch for a neutral.
If Featherstone don't get the licence it's a discrace. They have been the team to beat in our division for a number of years now.
That said I heard that P and R might be returning in 2015? Although I doubt it.

But featherstone havent been the best team
over the last few years
just because they chuck more money around
than other clubs...for me dont make them the best club
think what teams like sheffield and batley have done on their budgets is far mor impessive than feathersone.
over the last few seasons fev have under performed...going thru seasons only losing a couple of games..but when it comes down to the business end of the season....epic fail more than once.

Nah Coolie fev won the league they beat more teams over the season and that is what counts. sheffield were good and beat all top five clubs and deserved the trophy, but they wern't the best team in the league. But I'm sure Fev are non too happy about yesterday!

As a rugby club, Fev have it all, and to me it would make sense that if anyone go into SL it would be them. But the way the RFL work it, Sheffield have ticked the on field box (are the off field boxes ticked?) And they are the only pro team in that area which seems to work in some clubs favour.

The eagles have no chance of SL IMO they need more than 3 fans and 2 dogs turning up week in week out.The RFL do silly things as we know but this one would put the cherry on the cake for me

.Yesterday was probebly one of their biggest games for years and they won and maybe 50 eagles fans turned up can you realy see the RFL excepting them as the sky cameras would'nt know what to do with all the space they will have to set up
I think its between us and fax and more than likely another french team as i feel leigh have had their chance and blew it big time with the drubbings they got week in week out and i dont think the RFL would go down that route again but you never know what the clowns at the RFL will pull out of their hats next.
It didn't stop the RFL fast tracking Crusaders.

I totally agree andy but the crusaders were from wales so they tried to expand the game etc.But how would the eagles help the game with no fans? But we know what the RFL can do just watch these teams that have come into champ 1 get fast tracked they hav'nt brought them into our leagues for nothing.

Bloody hell I thought you were a Wakefield supporter now!
Actually, Sheffield would fit the bill for expansion I believe. Slightly beyond the boundaries of the traditional RL areas, and within a big city. The fact that they do not get many supporters at the moment is not the point I believe.

Agree with TG. SL has been tried in Sheffield in the past and look where that ended up!. Nah they desirve the suppport of the RFL to help build a nice little ground suitable for watching rugby then see if they can build a fan base from there. Nobody wants to watch Rugby at an athletics stadium (ask York or Hunslet)

With a bit of luck next season will be our last with a running track around the pitch.

Then I might even enjoy my trip to beat York!
