Fantastic news, really looking forward to seeing how Brett plays in the next level up. so, who`s left from last season to get signed? Has Mossop signed on yet, because I would love to see us keep him.

This is great news . As we said the lads are all really close and bonded so its no surprise they've stuck together . We've a great team spirit. When we get Mossop then we have all our quality tucked away in our pocket and we can concentrate on building on it from a position of strength . All looking good .

Great news about Brett . Just wondering about Lupton seems all has gone quiet about him be good for the team if he will get himself fit and a bit more dedicated to training never see him down at derwent park.

Another great signing but to be honest I don't think there was any doubt that Brett wouldn't sign again for Town.
I remember when .............................
"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

If the deluded lot were to be believed both him and Matty would be would've been there next season.....fools
On Lupton, I'd be happier if his contract was ripped up. He won't get into our back row and doesn't seem to cut it at half back. The money could be better utilised looking for true halves

Yes i could, ent agree more about LUPTON , But i thought he was on a 2 year contract. Now i don,t know how the club would stand on that..Just that the lad seem,s he is not interested in getting himself fit and playing for town .

Peter Lupton did sign for 2 years last year. At the time he said it could be his last two years in RL and he also said he would like to make the Wales squad for the World Cup in 2013.
He was unfortunate to get injured in the car crash and missed quite a lot of early games, etc, and he also seemed to put on a bit of spare weight around the midriff that he never got rid of. In view of this we didn't see the best of Peter except in one or two very brief flashes. If he could get himself fitter and get back the appetite for the game then I think he could still do a good job for Town next year. If not then I agree, we can do better than the player we had last season.

The knee injury sounds really bad from what we read and that's a big worry . We saw how hard it was coming into this league late , multiply that by ten next year if he misses preseason . In my opinion it's looking pretty bleak for him if he can't get a full preseason in and be ready to go in February. Better to go for younger creative pacy halves . Shame though as you don't lose class . All the best to him either way.

I think mossop has to be the next one we try to get onside. Then we can be casting our net out and bringing in some new blood. I thought after we'd announced that we were going after dallimore then that would have been tied up quicker than it has been.

I think Lupton is definitely worth having in the squad if he is fit, though from the sounds of it that might be a problem if his knee injury is that bad. His experience would be very useful.

That,s right KEITH he hurt his wrist in that car crash but there was nothing to stop him going to training and keeping fit that,s why he had a bit of spare weight around his midriff.I think as you say he has to find his appetite back for the game he could still do a good job for town.

I hope lupton gets back to fitness. He showed flashes of quality and a fully fit raring to go lupton would be an asset to our squad IMO.
