I don't think it's the desire , it's the capability unfortunately within the timescale .

One of the big problems is that he's not a half back, he would fit perfectly in at loose forward. I can't ever remembering him playing 6 for any of his previous teams. I think it must be hard to drop down at our level after playing pro for so many years. The hunger and the desire might just not be there anymore. The same applies to calderwood, both showed glimpses but compared to the local lads or even the dual reg guys the workrate and effort just dosent match up. Whereas thacks has dropped down a league at a time and he looks as if he's proving a point to people whos doubted him in the past. If he can get fit and motivated then hopefully he will be a big asset

the loons down the road are seething, apparently they are glad they didnt sign Carter and "the other person" (###### losers) because they are mercenaries who stayed at Town just because of money....... Oh man, they just dont get it, the more they seethe the funnier it is for us.

Excellent news about Brett.
If Lupton can get fit there is no reason why he can't shine again and show his Superleague quality.
Our squad is building nicely.
The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but thats the way to bet!

I hope Lupton gets fit to however unsure that may be at present . They don't give SL contracts out like sweets , and last season he was obviously playing busted . His arm was causing him big problems apparently . Hopefully we see him tuned up properly and in a ball playing loose forward role . I don't like to criticise the guy , he never had any luck here almost from day one and was always playing catch up . I hope he plays and shows people his old form , but as I say it's an if at present with an PCL the last injury you want , especially at his time of career . And he's had knee problems before.

Just hope your right about lupton havenhater, But even allowing for his injuries he will have to show a hell of a lot more commitment to the team and the club than he as this year.

I dont think anyone is knocking our own. We all just want to see each and everyone give 100% and at times Peter done that but at others he didn't. I don't think anyone can argue with that, now no one outside of the clubs know if that was because of injuries or fitness etc. We all hope we get a fully fit Peter lupton next year and then he will be a fantastic asset to our club. Until we hear more we cant really speculate on how he will come back next year.

I think every one of us would like to see him at pre season training get himself fully fit and show us just how good he is.

yeah dkw and its really funny seeing boxer writing that haven will be as strong as town next seaaon and another loon saying haven will finish 6th or 7th and all this on the strength of one signing of an ageing forward!

6th or 7th ... Nice one . I don't think they've really woken up to what they're gaan into to . They're gonna need lots n lots of surgery just to survive , those fans need to cling onto reality, or is it to late ?!!

Great to see Brett Carter penning a new deal at Town, the squad is coming together nicely now, for what is going to be a very challenging season ahead, personnally i can't wait for the action to start.I hope we manage to do well as it will take a good while to adapt to the higher league. Hope we can bolster our squad now with some more good signings, (Mossop & Forber) and others.
