As a follow-up to the great news that Brett has been selected for the Scotland squad, it has been confirmed that the squad will be coming to Town next Wednesday, 10th October, for a four day training camp.

The squad will be using all the facilities that will be available to them during the World Cup matches which Town and Allerdale managed to save for the rugby league fans of West Cumbria.

As part of that training camp The Travellers Rest Supporters Club are having a social evening, at The Travellers Rest, to give fans a chance to come along and meet the squad. The evening will be one of our popular race nights, with all profits going to charity.

We would like to take this opportunity to invite all rugby league fans to come along and make the evening a great success, make the Scotland squad feel welcome and, of course, show the Rugby League community that Workington was the correct choice for these games.

The first race will start around 8:00pm, everyone is most welcome - if you don't want a flutter just come along for the craic.

Thanks for that Nero, I thought that I'd checked my original post as well!
