Good question. I don't know. I don't think that (sadly) they are a significant percentage of any state and hence don't tend to appear in racial break-downs.

Given that very many are dirt poor (except those whose tribe decided to build a casino who are fantastically rich) I would imagine Democrat.

Very rough and ready google search shows they vote overwhelmingly Democrat percentage-wise but it doesn't look like huge numbers vote.

On the subject of native Americans, and gay marriage, I noticed that a couple of tribal jurisdictions had passed measures to allow gay marriages to go ahead in their areas.

Now, I'm bringing the tone of the thread down a bit, and it's a little bit naughty, but I can't help recalling that spoof Lone Ranger song by Quantum Jump:-

Tonto know that Kimosabi

Never ever have a woman

Tonto sometime stop and wonder

What the trip with the great white brother

Maybe masked man he a ###### <bad name for gay man>

Try it on with surly Tonto

Let me say to mister lawman

Tonto doesn't mind

There's a song I haven't heard in ages! I've got it somewhere on the hard drive at home.

It seems Melanie Phillips is non too happy with the result. Obviously a sure sign that America did the right thing.

I wouldn't like to live in her world. Or Donald Trump's. Ridiculously OTT reactions like this make me all the more happy that Obama won.

Just as a matter of interest, there were other candidates besides Obama & Romney, any idea who they were, & how much (%) of the vote did they get?

Just in case you thought Melanie Phillips' opinion was a bit too wishy-washy and liberal.

That is, quite simply, magnificent.

I say we've got two to three years left before they start rounding up dissenters and sending us off to Nazi-style concentration camps. I've got a little more time, cause I live in Texas

I disowned them this morning. On Facebook and through an email. But fortunately my parents are diehard Republicans, and a sister. It's only the ######ed up brother in Delaware, piece of ######, scumbag mother ######er who is a Democrat, and another sister in Philly who won't tell me, but I'm almost certain voted for Obama. They are dead to me now. And I will not under any circumstances attend their funerals in 30 or 40 years.

And now another favourites:

Oh-My-God. If I hear one more mother ######er say "it's only an election," I'm gonna ###### scream.

IT IS NOT ONLY AN ELECTION ASSHOLE.

We have a Marxist Muslim Fascist from Hell in the White House of the United States of America.

The country is dead. After 236 years, this mother ######er KILLED THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Can you ###### understand that???? Get it through your pee-sized little Nazi-loving brain of yours?

######, you ###### ###### me off.

Bloody brilliant! What a turn of phrase! I've worked for two big US technology companies and still work with them. Some years ago, I spent a few weeks with colleagues in Huntsville, Alabama, Also met colleagues in San Francisco, Chicago, Washington and have never come across views like that. so fortunately, as the elections have shown, it is very much a minority view.

Hover, I live in Lincolnshire and I know people here who do hold similar views of the UK. :o

The thing about the internet is it often makes extreme views seem more common than they really are!

That said WOW! I've often thought American's need educating in the real definition of the terms communist and socialist. I wonder what would happen if they got a socialist like Gordon Brown in charge!

And John yes Florida went to Obama in the end.

The Democrats have declared themselves winners, the Republicans have tacitly conceded but, as of the last article I can find, there is no official result.

Starting early this morning, I am going to un-friend every single individual on Facebook who voted for Obama, or I even suspect may have Democrat leanings.
