I know - I think you were unfair on Wire to refer to them as vultures.

I think Wire were the 'vulture' that you refer to, but they have treated Bradford and Bateman completely properly and respectfully at all times.

They put their bids on the table, not under it and made it clear Bateman was very welcome to join without doing anything underhand.

If only some others could have done that.


That is precisely my understanding too.

In recent dealings with the Warrington club regarding their generous and much-appreciated donation to the Bullbuilder Hardship Fund, they came across as extremely professional and extremely reasonable. So I very much suspect they conduct their transfer activities in the same manner.

It takes more than just being a Giant to stand tall.

bateman actually spoke to a couple (iirc) of NRL clubs while down under on the academy tour

OLDHAM RLFC
the 8TH most successful team in british RL

If it would cause no bother in the dressing room I agree, but some of the comments from players (if we can believe what people say about that tweety thing) suggest he isn't flavour of the month there.
