Hasn't a Sheffield club already had a go in Super League ? - and failed. Why would any new attempt be different ?

London have been in SL for how long now, the crowds arn't exactly brilliant despite being in a "big city." If they could manage to get to th 2k mark I'd agree there may be potential their. But after a championship winning season and still only in the low thousands, I can't see their being much potential for a sustainable SL club.Is that a consideration for a team outside the traditional heartlands?
Big city club, in the right hands, could bring a lot to the table.

If they think they can meet the criteria and have a good application, who are you to decry their right to SL?

Go on then......... where will they get their money, the pro players and the fans from?

Because Wakefield are going to use DoncasterThat will confuse the RFL - 'why would they do that when they could be Wakefield's Academy?'

Mitch StringerNo, but they have half a dozen south eastern born lads in Superleague now. Sheffield have produces none after nearly 30 years existence.
Love Sheffield Eagles but how are they viable for SL when they produce no pro players and have few fans?

I'd keep an eye on Doncaster if they can build bridges with the amateur clubs in the area, I've heard that the board of Doncaster Rovers want to take the club over along with all the other sporting bodies that use the Keepmoat to form one sporting club.Go on then......... where will they get their money, the pro players and the fans from?
