Agreed DD.
Really sad news for the lad. Had the potential to be one of the best second rowers in this division.
At the same time his health is far more important than rugby will ever be.
Good luck to Johnny for whatever he does next.

A massive loss to the club, a player who never gave less than 100%.

Always sad to hear these kind of stories. Last night's Grand Final showed just how brutal this sport can be and Walker's retirement is just another reminder.
He looked a cracking player whenever I saw him play.

Lovely genuine guy, had the pleasure of chatting with him at the awards night.
Was a cracking player too, all the best for the future Johnny.

What we're dealing with here is a complete lack of respect for the law

Great tackler, think we will have some fierce tacklers in this squad,Walton seems to be the enforcer, smashes the pinpointed threat such as broncos game stopped gower playing

Not sure if he was,but don't think he teared us apart,we stopped him playing his game to full potential lets say,but was a close game

Walton. Is definitely a big hitter, but he can be caught out easily at times when he runs out of the line and leaves a big gap when he misses the hit.

Yes suppose can leave a gap when misses, but that's a risk lots of teams take I suppose, but when used to take a player out of game it generally gets the man,got some big hitters all over park though

Applegarth knows how to smash 'em, and for his size, Walker had a brilliant big hit in his arsenal!
